Playing and bounce quality
Cornilleau tables are designed for high playing quality and excellent bounce
Ball bounce on table tennis tables
Bounce quality is the main component of playing quality, along with how spin is returned. The thickness of the playing surface directly affects the height, and therefore the quality, of the bounce. We believe every player should enjoy a very good bounce. Some experienced players are very sensitive to the thickness of the top.

For these demanding players who often play in clubs, or for fans of the bounce on chipboard tops, Cornilleau outdoor tables have a laminated resin playing surface up to 8 mm thick on the 700X, giving a bounce of the same type as a competition table. Another important ingredient is the frame, the part surrounding the playing surface. It supports the top and helps it stay very flat over time. The thicker it is, the better it holds the playing surface.
Tables approved by the French Table Tennis Federation
Choosing a Cornilleau table means choosing a table recognized by a particularly demanding organization, especially in terms of playing quality: the FFTT. A partner of the French Table Tennis Federation for more than 30 years, Cornilleau has had all its tables validated by the federation, earning two approvals: one for leisure tables and one for competition tables.
Anti-glare finishes for better play

For the best playing quality outdoors, we advise you to look closely at the finish of your table’s tops. Cornilleau outdoor tables have an anti-glare coating so that the sun’s rays do not dazzle players. There are two finishes, depending on the model. The Mattop finish, used on the Performance range, reduces the intensity of sun glare tenfold. The Softmat finish, found on the Sport range, reduces it threefold.

Softmat: 3 times less glare
- Outdoor tables 100X, 200X, 300X, 400X
- Instinct, Challenger, Black Code-ID 2
Mattop: 10 times less glare
- Outdoor tables 500X, 600X, 700X, Prestige
- All public tables
