A table tennis table must be stable both when you play and when it is stored. A model with brakes has a clear advantage over one without. But once unfolded, brakes are not the only thing keeping a table in place. The legs play an important role too: it is not unusual to knock the table while playing, carried away by your momentum. A table with thicker legs stays in place better in this situation than one with slimmer legs and a lighter structure.
To move it to where you want to play or store it, your table must be easy to handle and able to roll even over uneven ground, or even get over obstacles. On mobile tables, wide pads let you adjust the height of the feet so the table stands perfectly level, particularly on uneven ground. The wider the foot, the greater the stability.
The table frame
The frame is made of an anti-corrosion steel, aluminum and zinc alloy. It plays an important role in stability, but above all in keeping the table flat. The taller it is, the better it reinforces the table.
Brakes
Brakes play a vital role in preventing the table from moving. They keep mobile tables stable in playing or storage position, even on sloping ground.

The more wheels there are, the better the load is carried. Wide (32 mm) twin wheels therefore greatly improve the table’s mobility, particularly on varied or uneven ground (lawn, gravel, wooden decking and so on).
